In the month of thanksgiving we are thankful to have Jill Knight and celtic duo Willson & McKee joining us. Of Jill Knight, India Arie once quoted, "I love great voices and when I heard Jill sing it stopped me in my tracks, and I had to listen." She later asked Knight to be her opening act. A finalist at the Telluride Troubadour competition, a finalist at the National Academy of Songwriters "songwriter of the year" competition, a finalist in Billboard magazines, "best unsigned band" contest, a regional best seller in Album Network magazine for her album Future Perfect, Jill has toured and shared stages with... India Arie, Shawn Colvin, David Wilcox, Michael Hedges, Phoebe Snow, Richard Thompson, Little Feat, and others. "It's hard to say which is better-the song or the way Jill Knight sings it." -- Performing Songwriter "Few songwriters seem to have the self-assurance that this singer possesses... Knight approaches her music with an unadorned intensity, her songs pack an emotional punch rich in the details of everyday experiences... this is first rate, high quality music" -- Dirty Linen (www.jillknight.com) Willson & McKee is a nationally touring duo specializing in original as well as traditional Irish and Scottish acoustic music. It's Rocky Mountain Celtic… what Celtic becomes when it settles comfortably, three generations in the west! This duo, has won four top honors at the International Songwriting Competition at the Milwaukee Irish Festival, the largest Irish Festival in the World! Along with stellar songwriting skills, they showcase instrumental award winning talents such as the 2002 National Dulcimer Champion and others. October 10, 2009 (8:00 pm) Sabrina & Craig's Acoustic LA - LIVE! (N. Hollywood, CA)

No tricks -- all treats with emith and Garret Swayne. Emith (www.emith.com), an intoxicatingly intriguing acoustic duo has been growing an enthusiastic audience since guitarist Stevie Gurr (formerly with Dr. John, and Elvin Bishop) met singer/guitarist Carol Ann Ives in 2003. Calling them "alternative acoustic pop" might tell you where to find them, but would entirely miss their unique sound, songs, look and feel. Described in music press reviews as "Fleetwood Mac meets acoustic Led Zeppelin, Emmylou Harris and B.B. King in a kind of edgy sandwich seasoned with humor, passion, and wry sex appeal!" and "Cowboy Junkies atmospherics with Fleetwood Mac and Aimee Mann pop sensibilites." Garret Swayne (www.GarretSwayne.com) is a master song craftsman with songs that range from sweet ballads and touching love stories, to laugh-out-loud satires of popular culture. Delightful songs with strong melodies, great guitar playing, and intelligent lyrics are his hallmarks. Don't be surprised if you find yourself humming one of his tunes the next day . 5510 Cahuenga Blvd, N. Hollywood, CA, 91601 Cost: $5 plus donation
